What is Magnesium Die Casting?

Die casting is a high-volume metal forming process that injects molten metal into precision steel molds under extreme pressure. Magnesium die casting specifically uses AZ91D, AM60 and other magnesium alloys with sealed anti-oxidation melting systems to counteract magnesium’s high chemical activity.

This technology produces thin-wall, complex monolithic structural parts with stable dimensional accuracy. Compared with aluminum or zinc die casting, magnesium die casting delivers superior light weight and electromagnetic shielding performance, widely applied to notebook frames, automotive lightweight components and 5G communication housings.
